Summer Visit from Grandma and Grandpa

Grandma and Grandpa B. came out to visit Lilly in mid-July. Here are a few highlights from their trip:

Grandma and Grandpa took Lilly to the aquarium one day:

I guess there are birds in the aquarium, too.


They also have white tigers. Why do they call themselves an aquarium if they keep white tigers and macaws?

Summer 2011 - Thru July

I've been remiss about posting. Here are a few photos from the last 2 months.

Lilly likes sitting up. She can't get there on her own yet, and she still hasn't mastered the concept of balance, but it's getting there...

Fourth of July with Nasbi, Marvin & Logan:

A duck at our local lake had 14 ducklings in the spring. They are pretty much grown up now. They are shameless about begging for bread, and we indulge them.

It's hot in Houston. (understatement?) We have started taking advantage of the local community pool:


For my birthday, we went to the rainforest exhibit at Moody Gardens. Little did we know that it would be hotter / more humid inside than outside. Hard to imagine... but we had a great time:
This is the coolest animal I've seen in ages: porcupines with prehensile tails. In essence, a porcupine monkey.

4 Months

On June 23rd, Lilly had her 4 month check-up. She was up to 13.5 lbs and 24.25 inches (perfectly average for her age). Below are the pictures of her in her bouncer at 1 week, 2 months, and 4 months respectively. The difference isn't nearly as obvious as it was in her first 2 months, obviously, but she's still growing...
